Customers at Tesco Superstore in Bromley and Tesco Extra in Orpington will be encouraged to support Bromley Borough Foodbank as we prepare to help those facing financial hardship this winter season. Donations, big or small, will be used to provide emergency food packs and ensure our foodbank can continue to operate during the busy months ahead.

By simply adding a few extra bits to your weekly shop, you can help provide a sense of relief to local families and individuals in our community who need our support covering the cost of essentials this festive season!

Customers are being asked to donate essential items and long-life food such as milk, cold tinned meat, washing up liquid and men/women’s deodorant. Customers will also have the opportunity to contribute to the foodbank's Christmas Hampers, which are comprised of festive goodies such as Pringles, custard, minced pies and hot chocolate before being delivered to clients in the weeks leading up to Christmas. The foodbank is expected to deliver over 400 hampers this year.

During the three-day event, foodbank volunteers will be stationed at the entrance of both participating Tesco locations between 9am - 3pm to interact with customers and collect donations. Donations can still be made after volunteers have gone home for the day as both stores are equipped with foodbank donation boxes. Customers who want to participate will be provided with a foodbank shopping list of our most needed items
