Bats Nights in Bromley

Guided Bat Walks

Saturday 14 September 2024
19:15 to 21:15

Throughout Bromley we are lucky to have large green spaces! Have the opportunity to explore these parks after hours with our educational instructors to discover the wonderful world of bats!

Bromley Parks team are surveying seven different sites this year which have a range of habitats from pond, meadows and woodlands, there is potential to see our smallest like the pipistrelles up to our largest the daubentons!

The evening walk and talk will start with experienced surveyors, speaking about the different bat species that live in the gardens, their behaviours, habitat requirements and see what our parks have to offer.

Using electronic detectors, they will try to pick up the ultrasonic calls of hunting bats as you walk. You will also learn about other animal species, birds and insects that thrive within our parks.
