On Saturday 22 February 2025 Small World Cinema celebrates the creepy crawlies that are so important for life on our planet. Children can investigate insects under the microscope, project images onto the screen and throw beautiful shadows with cut-out beetles, bugs and butterflies.

Of course, there will be plenty of crafts as they make toiletroll torches and their own paper shadow puppets.

The film this month is the French film Minuscule: Valley of the Ants. This non-dialogue animation is a rollercoaster adventure through the smallest aspects of nature as well as a heartwarming and funny tale of friendship and survival.
