We are pleased to share with you our report on the Voluntary Sector in Bromley, which includes a comprehensive analysis of the current landscape and a set of recommendations aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and sustainability of voluntary services in our community.
- Key challenges include increasing demand, financial pressures, funding, staffing, and accommodation issues.
- Opportunities include influencing statutory partners, digitalisation, and developing local partnerships.
It concludes with recommendations to address:
- Accommodation needs, competitive compensation, and training for staff and volunteers.
- Increase understanding of the Integrated Care System and explore regional and sub-regional working.
- Need to understand the needs of smaller/UTR organisations
- Identify and address skills gaps in the sector
- Support staff/volunteer recruitment and retention.
- Support for funding
The report highlights key areas where collaboration between statutory partners, funders and the sector can lead to significant improvements in service delivery and community outcomes.
